Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Just Released Their Engagement Photos!

It seems like new royal wedding information surfaces daily, and we are not complaining about it. Slowly but surely, we have the scoop on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's future wedding cake, Harry's best man, and (finally) Markle's potential wedding dress designer. Now, in today's dose of royal news, the adorable duo just released three of the most stunning engagement photos, and they're an absolute must-see (just when we thought we couldn't obsess over them any more).

Kensington Palace shared the photos on Twitter and Instagram this morning (because one social media platform just isn't enough), which were taken at Frogmore House in Windsor. New York-based fashion photographer Alexi Lubomirski, who has also photographed celebs such as BeyoncГ© and Sarah Jessica Parker, was the lucky lad commissioned to shoot the lovebirds for this special occasion (can you email us copies, please!?).

In a statement from Kensington Palace, Lubomirski gushed about the experience. "It was an incredible honor to be asked to document this wonderful event, but also a great privilege to be invited to share and be a witness to this young couple's love for one another,” he said in the statement. “I cannot help but smile when I look at the photos that we took of them, such was their happiness together.” We second that.

In the first photo, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle posed together, sitting down on a set of stairs. Harry sported a blue suit and matching tie (which looks similar to his engagement announcement outfit), while Markle looked STUN-NING in a gown with a sheer sequined top and black tulle skirt. The gown's transparent top seems like a slightly risquГ© choice for a future royal, but we're all for it. Her hand rests over Harry's knee, showing off her coveted engagement ring.

The next photo gets much more intimate, with a super close-up black-and-white shot of the lovebirds. Again, Meghan's hand is positioned in a way on Harry's face that perfectly exposes her sparkler (which provides more angles for our ring envy). The couple changed outfits, with Harry in a more casual jacket and Markle in a white sweater. Markle's sister had previously confirmed that Meghan truly loves Harry and isn't in it for the royal title, and this photo specifically really seals the deal. Both are all smiles as Harry lovingly looks down on his future bride. We'll be framing this one ASAP.

A third photo, released a few hours after the first two, shows off Markle's killer outfit even more, as the duo holds hands and sweetly smile off into the distance. Designed by London-based Ralph & Russo, her gown has a price tag of $75,000, so unfortunately for the rest of us without royal budgets, we probably won't be able to get our hands on it. If Markle's engagement portrait look is this showstopping, we're dying to see the bride-to-be's wedding dress. Kensington Palace shared this photograph on behalf of Prince Harry and Markle for the outpouring of well wishes they've received. "As a way to say thank you, they have decided to share this candid photograph from the day of their portrait sittings directly with all of you," read the photo's caption.

In case you haven't marked your calendars yet, Prince Harry and Markle's wedding date is set for May 19, 2018, at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle. Thankfully, for all of our viewing pleasures, the wedding will also be televised, so start planning your viewing party.

The wedding day, which falls on a Saturday, bucks royal tradition. Typically, royal weddings take place on weekdays. Prince Harry and Markle's wedding also conflicts with the FA Cup Final, which is one of the UK's most widely anticipated sporting events. However, a palace spokesperson acknowledged the unusual wedding date, saying that a Saturday wedding would "give the public the greatest opportunity to watch, come out, support, and get involved." This is true, considering we won't have to call in sick for work on the day of.
